Professional Development

Professional Development

Future Hartford is a leadership skill development program sponsored by the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce. Enrolled candidates, identified as emerging leaders within their company, are prepared to serve in a leadership capacity at work as well as public and community positions throughout the greater Hartford area. They receive continuous learning and in-depth exposure to important aspects of the community through a series of program days on the second Friday of each month, September through May.

Through a partnership with Moraine Park Technical College, the program days have covered such business-related educational topics as conflict resolution, running effective meetings, business ethics, effective communication and time management, energizing the workplace, dealing with change and mentoring. Candidates are also introduced to area business leaders through a series of site visits and discussions as part of each program day.
